Picking up your skateboard and getting started can be a little intimidating at first, but with some practice and guidance, it can become second nature. Here's a step-by-step guide for picking up your skateboard and getting started:

  1. Stand next to your skateboard: Start by standing next to your skateboard with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Place your front foot on the board: Bend down and place your front foot on the board, positioning it over the front truck bolts.
  3. Bend your knees: Bend your knees slightly to lower your center of gravity and keep your balance.
  4. Use your back foot to push off: With your back foot, push off the ground to gain momentum and start moving forward.
  5. Shift your weight: Once you're moving, shift your weight to your front foot to maintain balance and control.
  6. Practice turning: As you gain more confidence, practice turning by shifting your weight and using your toes to steer the board.
  7. Slow down and stop: When you're ready to slow down or stop, use your back foot to drag on the ground behind the board.

In this video you will learn how to start skateboarding:

Tic Tac is a classic skateboarding maneuver that involves shifting your weight from side to side on the skateboard while rolling forward. It's a fundamental skill that is essential for navigating around obstacles, changing direction quickly, and even performing more advanced tricks.

Here are some tips for practicing Tic Tac without falling:

  1. Start by getting comfortable with your skateboard. Practice riding in a straight line and turning slowly by leaning your weight in the direction you want to go.
  2. Once you feel comfortable on your skateboard, begin practicing Tic Tac by placing your feet in the Tic Tac stance. This involves positioning your front foot near the middle of the board, and your back foot at a slight angle on the tail.
  3. Begin rolling forward at a slow pace, and shift your weight from side to side by leaning your shoulders and hips in the direction you want to turn. As you shift your weight, use your back foot to push the tail of the board down and out, which will help you initiate the turn.
  4. Focus on keeping your movements fluid and controlled, and avoid jerky or sudden movements that could cause you to lose balance.
  5. As you become more comfortable with the movement, gradually increase your speed and try turning on different surfaces, such as concrete or asphalt.

Remember, it's important to wear protective gear when skateboarding, especially when practicing new maneuvers like Tic Tac. This includes a helmet, knee and elbow pads, and wrist guards. With consistent practice and a focus on safety, you'll be able to master the Tic Tac and take your skateboarding skills to the next level.

We are waiting for you!

Half flip jumping on a skateboard is a trick that involves jumping in the air, doing a half flip with the board, and then landing back on it. It may take some practice to get the hang of it, but with some patience and persistence, it can be a fun and impressive trick to add to your skateboarding repertoire.

Here are some steps to help you get started with half flip jumping:

  1. Start by standing on your skateboard with your feet positioned just behind the trucks, and your toes hanging off the edge of the board.
  2. Begin rolling forward at a slow pace, and crouch down slightly to prepare for the jump.
  3. As you approach a small obstacle or crack in the pavement, pop the tail of the board down with your back foot to initiate the jump.
  4. At the same time, use your front foot to flick the nose of the board up and to the side, so that it starts to flip in the air.
  5. As the board flips, tuck your knees up towards your chest to give you more height and control in the air.
  6. As the board completes its half flip, use your feet to guide it back down to the ground.
  7. Aim to land with both feet over the bolts on the board, and use your knees to absorb the impact of the landing.
  8. Roll away smoothly to complete the trick.

Remember, practice makes perfect! Start small and work your way up to bigger obstacles as you gain confidence and skill. And always be sure to wear protective gear like a helmet, knee and elbow pads, and wrist guards to prevent injuries while skateboarding.

We are waiting for you!
